Not My Best Month Ever

So now I have strep throat. Haven't had it since I was 12, and have no clue where I got it from, as no one else in the fam is sick. Yet. And at the risk of sounding like a pitiful whiny little beyotch, let me just say that 25 years is PLENTY of time in which to forget just how much strep throat sucks.

So let's recap, shall we? Euthanized dog, tore tendon, was laid low by strep. Hublet is slowly going insane because of a job interview, and taking me with him.

On the bright side, T-ball is turning out to be a blast, but it's not enough to overcome my irritation at April, the Cruelest Month.

Blogging will resume when I can sit upright for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Ah, Strep. My good friend. We get together at least once a year, though we've drifted a bit apart these last couple. In me, it kicks my ass for a week, then I think I feel better, so don't go to a doctor. I once walked around for a couple weeks with it. Highly unrecommended.

Oh yeah. Hope you feel better and stuff. Swinging bats at stationary things is always a pick-me-up.

I had strep for the first time in 30 years while in Italy. I was SURE I was dying, mouth first. Try eating any tomato sauced food with strep. YOW.

Luckily the word for streptococcus in Italian is streptococcus, so I knew what the doctor was presribing the drugs for.

My sympathies. I remember those bloody little beasts sitting at the back of my throat, hacking away with carving knifes.

Maybe you're starting your second childhood just a tad early?

I hope next month is filled with happiness and May flowers and a new job for Hublet and that the Boy gets a triple and helps turn a double play.
