Put Down That Ho-Ho! You're Making Me Fat!

I love obesity research, especially the kind of obesity research that enables me to blame other people for my own inability to resist the siren song of burritos the size of my head.

So now I can add being overweight to the list of things I don't have to take personal responsibility for.

Isn't the 21st century great?

On a completely unrelated, but interesting note, read this story about Oscar the Feline Harbinger of Death.

My favorite of the week was the "diet Coke will double kill you just as fast as the regular stuff!" headlines, but when you read the story it said something like, "No direct link or even an indirect one was found between diet Coke and heart disease. Just happened that folks drank different Cokes during a study."

Maybe the two are related after all; maybe if my cat gets fat, I'll have a greater chance of getting fat myself, and thus my cat will be predicting my early death. Or, maybe I should just have another oatmeal raisin cookie and quit trying to think before my third cup of coffee.
